Adonis Cafe, Chermside designed by Com Kit Plan

Highly recommend COM KIT PLAN for commercial kitchen design. We had a very small space which needed a lot of work before we could apply for a Food Business License. CKP helped us from concept to final design, with the contracting builders agreeing that the design was great to work with, detailed and clear. CKP also assisted us with the Food Licence Application with our local council, which was seamless and passed at first inspection.

Sometimes it’s tempting to do things yourself to save some money, especially in the hospitality industry with its low margins and every increasing cost pressures. CKP will save you money in the long run - we operated during our renovation, had very few hiccups, and the small space we have has been optimised through clever design, which can only come from a team as experienced as CKP!

One Eighty Six Espresso Bar

Com Kit Plan was recommended to us when we started the search for someone to design our challenging and small site for our next espresso bar.

Robert and Issie held our hands through the entire process and created an amazing use of space. They are masters at using every single spare millimetre of space and we are delighted at what they have achieved. The whole process was so easy and stress free.
Highly recommended.

Why Use a Foodservice Design Consultant to Design Your Restaurant and Kitchen?

Designing a restaurant and kitchen requires careful planning, attention to detail, and expertise in creating a functional and efficient space.

That’s why using a foodservice design consultant can be a game-changer when it comes to setting up your dream dining establishment.

From their extensive knowledge and experience to their ability to maximize space utilization, ensure compliance, and enhance the overall customer experience, they play a pivotal role in helping you create a successful and profitable dining establishment.

So, if you’re looking to embark on the exciting journey of starting a restaurant, consider the invaluable assistance of a foodservice design consultant to turn your vision into reality.

Here are a few compelling reasons why hiring a foodservice design consultant is essential:

Extensive Knowledge and Experience

Foodservice design consultants specialize in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces specifically tailored to the needs of kitchen operations, safety and workflow.

They possess a wealth of knowledge and have extensive experience in the industry, allowing them to navigate through the complexities of designing a restaurant and commercial kitchen efficiently.

Extensive training and experience in the principles of construction, design, HVAC, hydraulics, mechanical ventilation, shopfitting, foodservice and engineering principles will bring a hospitality project to a reality.

Maximizing Space and Efficiency

One of the biggest challenges in restaurant design is optimising space utilisation.

Foodservice design consultants possess deep understanding of the flow of operations within a kitchen and dining area.

They can help you make the most of your available space, ensuring smooth traffic patterns for staff members and customers. This expertise can lead to improved operational efficiency and ultimately, greater profitability.

Compliance with Regulations and Codes

Running a restaurant entails adhering to various health, safety, and building codes.

A professional foodservice design consultant will have an in-depth understanding of these regulations and ensure that your restaurant design complies with all necessary standards including HACCP.

This avoids costly mistakes and potential delays caused by non-compliance.

Cost-Effective and Sustainable Design Solutions

While it may seem counter-intuitive to spend money on a foodservice consultant, doing so can actually result in significant cost savings in the long run.

By leveraging their knowledge of the industry, and sustainable practices, latest technology, food servicedesign consultants excel in finding cost-effective solutions without sacrificing quality or functionality.

They have established relationships with a network of suppliers and can negotiate competitive prices for catering equipment, fixtures, and materials.

Enhancing Customer Experience

It is crucial to create an ambiance and atmosphere that resonates with your target customers.

A foodservice design consultant possesses a keen understanding of various design elements, including lighting, seating arrangements, and interior design aesthetics.

By carefully curating these elements, they can create an atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience and helps differentiate your restaurant from the competition.

Project Management Expertise

Designing a restaurant and kitchen involves a myriad of moving parts, including coordinating with architects, contractors, and equipment vendors.

A foodservice design consultant will act as the central point of contact and oversee the entire design process.

Their project management expertise ensures that timelines are adhered to, budgets are maintained, and the final result aligns with your vision.
